Dr Alina Kadyrova
Postdoctoral Research Associate in Social and Sustainable Innovation
Biography
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The Open University Business School, working on the Horizon Europe ENCASE project (a European Network of Research Infrastructures for CO2 Transport and Injection), which aims to advance Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) research and technology in Europe and enhance the social integration of CCS research organisations.
I hold a PhD in Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy from the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIOIR), Alliance Manchester Business School, at the University of Manchester (UK). I was previously a Lecturer in Innovation at the Alliance Manchester Business School.
Research interests
I am interested in innovations that primarily pursue non-economic goals (social innovations). In particular, I want to understand organisational and contextual conditions that enable or hinder the emergence and diffusion of those innovations, and when those innovations lead (or don't) to system-wide changes.
In the ENCASE project, my work focuses on supporting and evaluating co-creation activities of five engineering research organisations in the field of CCS. More information about the aims and progress of those activities can be found here.
