Biography
Professional biography
I am a lecturer in psychology at The Open University, where I have been working since 2022. Within the School of Psychology and Counselling, I hold the role of Generative AI Lead. Before joining The Open University, I worked at Atlantic Technological University in Ireland as a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher in Teaching and Learning.
Research interests
My research focuses on cognition and human performance in healthy individuals, with an emphasis on alcohol hangovers and developing innovative solutions to the methodological challenges within this field.
I am also interested in student engagement and the factors that influence it which reflects my broader commitment to understanding real-world applications of psychological principles. I am dedicated to advancing good practices in complex experimental design, driven by the values of open science and methodological rigor.
Teaching interests
My approach to teaching is rooted in cognition, collaboration, and transparency, and is informed by educational research and student feedback.
I supervise postgraduate research degree students, and welcome inquiries from perspective students.
